Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rawrl Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Hughes!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Castro can pounce on him.
Castro tries to clinch there but Hughes circles away.
Rawrl Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castro is looking to clinch.
Hughes shoots for a takedown but Castro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hughes on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Hughes wants to finish this one by submission but Castro is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hughes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castro reaches up to try and control the position but Hughes seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Castro rolls and tries to escape and now Hughes has his back!

Hughes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hughes doesn't have the hooks in and Castro manages to turn into his guard.

Rawrl Castro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hughes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Castro.

Castro tries to clinch but Hughes moves out of range.

Castro throws a nice inside leg kick.
Castro fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hughes.

Castro forces Hughes back against the cage and clinches.

Castro tries to land a knee to the head but Hughes blocks with his arms.

Knees in the clinch landing for Castro.
Hughes has Castro pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Castro manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rawrl Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Hughes.

Castro is pressed up against the cage. Hughes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Castro down to the mat. Castro avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Castro.
Hughes looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hughes's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Castro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Castro misses the shot to the body.
Castro throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Hughes stumbling backwards into the cage! Hughes bounces back off the cage towards Castro, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Castro lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Castro celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rawrl Castro!
