Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortlock takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Stirling Mortlock has been cut.
Spies lands with a thumping leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Mortlock misses the target.
Spies keeps the fight on the outside.
Stirling Mortlock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mortlock tries to clinch up but Spies circles away and keeps his distance.
Mortlock chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Spies can pounce on him.
Spies moves into the clinch.
Spies lands a damaging elbow.
Spies lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Mortlock is rocked!
That has opened up Stirling Mortlock's cut even more.
Mortlock looks gassed!
Spies maintains plum control as Mortlock tries to back straight out! Spies connects with one knee! Two knees! Three, four, five, six...seven unasnwered knees! Mortlock blocks the eight but eats the ninth - then collapses! Oh the brutality!
