Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Svenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Crowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowley walks into a stiff left hand from Svenson.

Svenson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Svenson throws a hook to the side of Crowley's head but Crowley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Svenson scores with a one two! Crowley had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Crowley tries to close the distance and clinch but Svenson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Svenson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Svenson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Svenson is working Crowley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Svenson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Svenson clobbers Crowley with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Crowley tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Svenson manages to move to mount!

Svenson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Crowley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Svenson is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Svenson gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Svenson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Svenson apologises and we restart here on the feet.
