Boudreaux comes to the cage accompanied by The Prince. Maritn Boudreaux could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eddie Roth's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boudreaux throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Roth looks to land a combination but Boudreaux avoids it well.
Boudreaux leaves Roth with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Roth throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boudreaux throws a head kick that misses.
Roth misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Boudreaux tries to clinch up.
Roth will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Eddie Roth has been cut.

Roth tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boudreaux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roth somewhat.

Roth looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Boudreaux!
Boudreaux is squirming around, avoiding Roth's attempts to control the action.
Boudreaux tries to hold on but Roth postures up.
Roth is landing with some decent strikes but Boudreaux is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boudreaux is trying desperately to improve position.
Roth avoids the attempt from Boudreaux to control.

Roth with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Boudreaux is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boudreaux tries to lock up and control but Roth gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boudreaux is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Boudreaux wants to try and get back to his feet.
Roth takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Boudreaux bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Roth is trying to control the position but Boudreaux postures up.

Roth has his foot on Boudreaux's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boudreaux works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roth tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Roth can do anything to dispel that myth.
Boudreaux tries to free his leg and advance position but Roth is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boudreaux gets to his feet. Roth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Maritn Boudreaux will probably get the nod.
