Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kensi Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mera Main (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kensi Himura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mera Main!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Himura fails with a takedown attempt.
Main thows a left - swing and a miss!

Main closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Himura sneaks back into half guard.
Himura on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Himura tries to get out of the position.
Main seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Himura does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Himura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Main wants to control but Himura is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Main makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Main.
Main controls Himura momentarily but Himura frees himself.

Main manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A close round but Mera Main will probably get the nod.
That's time! Himura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Some bone on bone action there as Main checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Horrible takedown by Himura or perhaps it was just good defense by Main which made him look bad.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Main uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Himura.

and Himura counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Himura.

Main keeping moving, preventing Himura from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Himura shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Main manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Main is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Himura tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Main is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Main is looking to improve his position but Himura isn't that keen on the idea.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kensi Himura just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kensi Himura.
Well Himura has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
