Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Theodore Vasara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Fredin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasara throws a leg kick that misses.
Fredin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like William Fredin has been cut.
Vasara doesn't manage to clinch there - Fredin circles away.

Vasara fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fredin checks it well.

Fredin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fredin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Vasara is looking to stand up but Fredin isn't so interested in that idea.
