The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kernes throws a wild body kick that man sees coming a mile off.

man avoids a punch combination nicely.
man tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kernes closes the distance and clinches.
man jumps guard but Kernes stands there with man around his waist. man gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kernes tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and man avoids it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

man jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kernes walks away with a smile on his face. man gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kernes will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kernes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

man tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kernes smiles and moves away.

Kernes scores with a one two! man had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Kernes got a little sloppy there for a moment and man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kernes has managed to get both his arms back between man's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kernes is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get man off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

man is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kernes knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kernes for a finish.

Well Kernes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
