The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Northman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Northman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ginlob on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Ginlob tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Northman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ginlob to see if he's OK.

Northman is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ginlob is trying to escape and Northman transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ginlob is forced to tap! Nice work there by Northman! Very nice indeed!
