The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinicius throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garcia.
Garcia gets a takedown into half guard.
Vinicius makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vinicius.
Vinicius pulls Garcia in close to his closed guard and prevents Garcia from doing any damage or advancing position.
Garcia looking to sit in guard and control but Vinicius gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Vinicius could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Vinicius thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vinicius thows a big elbow that misses.
Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vinicius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garcia is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Vinicius prevents Garcia from getting back to his feet.
Garcia trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Garcia is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Garcia is trying to control the position but Vinicius postures up.
Vinicius thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Garcia is keen to just control but Vinicius is a slippery customer.

Vinicius wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy.
Vinicius is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Garcia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Garcia's back!
