Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julien Abessera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastian Rolfes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julien Abessera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bastian Rolfes!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolfes takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Bastian Rolfes has been cut.

Abessera seems keen to control Rolfes's posture.
Rolfes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Rolfes wants to work for an arm triangle but Abessera is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Abessera lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rolfes circles away quickly and effectively.

Rolfes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abessera was covering up waiting for the punch and Rolfes finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Abessera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Abessera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rolfes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Abessera stacks Rolfes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Abessera!

Rolfes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abessera as he avoids it easily.
