The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Stan with that takedown attempt.
Starks swinging wildly here.

and Stan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Starks's guard.
Stan advances to half guard.
Stan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Stan manages to get back to half guard.
Starks wants to take a breather but Stan is having none of it.
Stan is pressing down on Starks's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Starks scoring with some ground and pound.

Stan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Starks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Starks closes the distance and clinches.
A left hand lands to the body for Starks.
Starks gets through Stan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Sam Stan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Starks drives through and clinches with Stan against the cage.
Starks swings wildly with an uppercut but Stan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stan jumps guard but Starks stands there with Stan around his waist. Stan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Starks is trying to break the clinch but Stan has him pressed against the cage.
Stan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Starks pulls his leg out and moves away.
Starks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stan pinned against the cage. Stan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
