The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baloyi swinging wildly here.
Baloyi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Penn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Baloyi shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Penn moves forwards but Baloyi connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Baloyi moves in looking to clinch but Penn pushes him off.
Baloyi thuds a left hand into Penn's body.
Penn uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Baloyi loads up on a big right hand but Penn slips the punch.
Baloyi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Baloyi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penn was well out of range. Poor timing from Baloyi.
Penn moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Antar Baloyi has been cut.
Baloyi looks to land a combination but Penn avoids it well.

Penn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baloyi moves away.

Penn remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
