The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyran shoots in and drives through. Hoffman sprawls well.
Hoffman throws out a powerful jab.
Tyran closes the distance and clinches up with Hoffman, looking for a takedown. Tyran pushes Hoffman against the cage but Hoffman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hoffman tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tyran fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hoffman avoids it really well and circles away.

Tyran tries to lock up and control but Hoffman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hoffman has control of Tyran's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tyran regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hoffman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tyran looks a forlorn figure.
BOOM! Hoffman connects with a massive shot to the dome!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hoffman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tyran has eaten all the pies!
Hoffman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hoffman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tyran but Tyran pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hoffman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hoffman wants it to stay on the feet.
Tyran with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hoffman to score with a decent uppercut.

Tyran prevents Hoffman from breaking the clinch.
Hoffman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Tyran drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hoffman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hoffman manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Tyran is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hoffman shoots in but Tyran avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tyran walks into a stiff left hand from Hoffman.

Hoffman seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Maik Tyran has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyran is trying to drag Hoffman to the mat but Hoffman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tyran has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hoffman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
