Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Jobby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Nottingham!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jobby fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nottingham avoids it really well and circles away.

Nottingham bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nottingham is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jobby is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jobby is looking for a sweep.
Jobby is not content to let Nottingham control the position.
Nottingham tries to move to mount but Jobby blocks the move with his legs.
The referee asks Nottingham politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nottingham prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jobby manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nottingham's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jobby is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nottingham pulls his head out easily.
Jobby throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jobby tries to roll over but Nottingham keeps him under control.
Jobby manages to get to full guard.
Nottingham stopping the sweep attempt from Jobby.

Jobby is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nottingham passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jobby flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Jobby looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Jobby is breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nottingham connects with a nice short shot to Jobby's temple.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nottingham frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
BOOM! Nottingham connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Nottingham controlling from the full mount.
Nottingham trying to control but Jobby is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jobby tries to lock up and control but Nottingham gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nottingham takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Nottingham throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Jobby has his hands clasped together but Nottingham breaks the hold and Jobby is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Nottingham!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Daniel Nottingham!
