The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mercury.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

You can see the frustration on Franks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mercury shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Franks sprawls well. Franks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mercury gets slowly back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Franks tries to close the distance and clinch but Mercury swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mercury looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Franks is fending him off so far but Mercury persists. Nope, Franks circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Franks feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Mercury crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
