Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Blimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blimm on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fowler. Fowler obviously looking to wear him down.
Blimm fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fowler has a takedown stuffed.
Blimm looks to land a combination but Fowler avoids it well.
Blimm tries to clinch but Fowler is having none of it.
Fowler goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Blimm misses with a hook.
Fowler shoots in looking for a takedown. Blimm tries to sprawl out of it but Fowler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blimm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Billy Blimm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chase Fowler.

and Blimm holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Blimm has Fowler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fowler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Blimm drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fowler is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blimm is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fowler to the mat. Fowler regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fowler is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Blimm stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Fowler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Let's hope that Fowler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Blimm wants to sweep but Fowler has passed to side control!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fowler stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Blimm will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fowler scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blimm, as that shot connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase Fowler dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fowler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fowler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Blimm tries to lock up and control but Fowler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
