PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between cody Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Yakimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yakimoto has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. cody Jensen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yakimoto swivels and escapes.
Jensen swats away the attempt to clinch by Yakimoto.
Yakimoto doesn't manage to clinch there - Jensen circles away.

and Jensen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yakimoto's guard.
Yakimoto has momentary wrist control but Jensen slips an elbow through the middle.
Yakimoto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jensen controls the pace.
Jensen is pushing down on Yakimoto's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yakimoto is fighting to maintain full guard but Jensen has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jensen slips a nice elbow through Yakimoto's hands, connecting with Yakimoto's forehead.

Yakimoto is trying to maintain the position but Jensen is very close to passing his half guard.
Jensen is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jensen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Yakimoto won't allow Jensen to pass to mount.
Jensen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jensen lands a big shot there that rocks Yakimoto but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Jensen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yakimoto can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jensen is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Yakimoto is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Yakimoto flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jensen anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Yakimoto and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jensen slips an arm under Yakimoto chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jensen has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jensen is squeezing on Yakimoto like an anaconda would it's prey. Yakimoto fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
