The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Daud swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnson tries to clinch up.
Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Daud, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A head kick misses from Daud.

Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Daud in a clinch.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Daud tries to clinch up

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daud trying to control the position but instead, Johnson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Daud into the ropes.
Daud could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Daud swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.
Johnson tries to clinch up but Daud circles away and keeps his distance.

Johnson closes the distance but Daud moves to the side

and Daud counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Daud prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Daud wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Daud might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Daud is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Johnson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Johnson has escaped and now he's on top!

Daud working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Daud is tightening it up a little... Johnson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Johnson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Johnson taps out! nice BJJ there by Daud!
