Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugeniusz Geniusz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor moves into the clinch.

Taylor pulls guard effortlessly.
Geniusz wants to stand but Taylor has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Taylor working a defensive guard but Geniusz manages to pass into side control anyway.
Taylor pushes Geniusz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Geniusz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Geniusz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taylor keeps working.
Taylor is looking for a sweep.
Geniusz tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Geniusz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Taylor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Geniusz but great work by Taylor.

Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Geniusz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Geniusz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Taylor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Taylor wants to stand but Geniusz is controlling his posture from full guard.
Geniusz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Geniusz tries to get out of the position.
Geniusz controls Taylor momentarily but Taylor frees himself.

Geniusz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Taylor is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Geniusz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Taylor defends well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Taylor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Taylor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Taylor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Let's hope that Taylor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Geniusz is trying to reverse the position but instead Taylor has taken his back - oops!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Taylor scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Geniusz tries to roll but Taylor sticks to his back.
Geniusz staying busy and making it hard for Taylor to control.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Taylor. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Geniusz tries to break free.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Taylor is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Taylor gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Taylor gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Taylor apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Geniusz is looking to reverse the position.
Taylor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Taylor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Geniusz to his feet.

Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Geniusz was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Geniusz wants to control but Taylor is having none of it.
Taylor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Taylor manages to capitalize on a mistake by Geniusz to take his back!

Geniusz won't enjoy being in this position. Taylor looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Geniusz is tapping - it's over boys! Taylor picks up the submission victory!
