Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeronimo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramon has chosen Public Service Announcement by Jay Z as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeronimo Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Ramon!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramon misses with a two punch combination.
Ramon is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Ramon.
Ramon shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ramon misses the jab.

Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ramon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ramon!

Silva has his foot on Ramon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ramon works his way back into a safe position though.
Ramon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ramon won't allow Silva to sweep him here.
Ramon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ramon throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.
Ramon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silva moves out of range as Ramon strikes.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ramon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Nice straight punches there by Ramon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ramon.


Silva is rocked!
Ramon throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Silva keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramon.
Ramon misses with a leg kick.
Ramon missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ramon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ramon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Ramon tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ramon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ramon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva staying out of range there.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ramon.
Ramon misses with a two punch combination.
Silva dives in and grabs Ramon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramon pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Ramon misses with an uppercut.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramon's waist but Ramon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeronimo Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramon connects with a body shot.

Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silva prevents Ramon from standing back up.

Silva throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Ramon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ramon wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Ramon dominated that round.
That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ramon attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva walks into a left hand.
Ramon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Ramon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Ramon throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
A punch combination from Ramon misses.
Ramon tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ramon stuffs the takedown.
Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ramon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Silva's hands.
Ramon drops Silva with a big left hand! Silva is injured, injured bad! Ramon jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Ramon!
