PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Heartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana has chosen manly euro techno as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Heartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Santana!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heartman leaves Santana with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Santana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Heartman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Santana was covering up waiting for the punch and Heartman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santana wants to sweep here but Heartman controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Heartman will probably get the nod.

Well Heartman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
