Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Rai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Rai!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rai looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Wilson!

Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rai on the ground.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rai cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rai cracks Wilson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rai unloads with some shots from mount but Wilson bucks and avoids them well.

Rai throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rai is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wilson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rai takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Rai is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wilson's half guard.

Rai seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rai scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Wilson is not content to let Rai control the position.

Rai is looking to advance position but Wilson won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wilson moves in looking to clinch but Rai pushes him off.
Wilson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wilson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rai is breathing heavily.
Rai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wilson pinned against the cage. Wilson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rai stuffs the takedown.

Rai shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wade Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Rai.

Wilson throws a series of punches but Rai avoids them all with ease.
Wilson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rai takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Wilson clinches.
Rai is trying to drag Wilson to the mat but Wilson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wilson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson scores with a one two! Rai had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Rai counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rai.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilson is on top in guard.

Rai shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wilson wants to control the position but Rai says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Wilson is looking for a sweep. Rai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilson keeps working.
Rai is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rai can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilson is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rai pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Wilson is looking to improve his position but Rai isn't that keen on the idea.

Wilson tries to lock up and control but Rai gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wilson is squirming around, avoiding Rai's attempts to control the action.

Aaron Rai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rai has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
