The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Bell. No joy for Yang on that attempt.
Yang defending well as Bell loads up on a big left hand.
Bell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Yang.
Bell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Yang tries to clinch up but Bell circles away and keeps his distance.
Yang moves out of range of the strikes.

Bell throws a looping overhand right but Yang ducks down to avoid it.
Bell throws the left hand but Yang avoids the punch easily.
Ashton Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bell pinned against the cage. Bell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bell drives through and clinches with Yang against the cage.

Yang shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Yang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yang is breathing heavily.

Bell clinches with his opponent.

Bell has Yang pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bell pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yang tumbling to the mat - Bell dives into Yang's guard.

Bell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yang manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bell has Yang in his guard.
Yang won't allow Bell to get back to his feet.

Yang drops back looking for a leg! Bell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bell manages to kick Yang off! Yang jumps back into Bell's guard.
Yang wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving.

Bell has his feet on Yang's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The fighters circling - Bell throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yang uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bell.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Yang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yang looks for a takedown but Bell sprawls well.
Yang takes one on the button.
