The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahlik loads up on a big right hand but Sudo slips the punch.
Sudo dives in and grabs Mahlik's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mahlik pushes down on Sudo's head and hops out.
Horrible takedown by Sudo or perhaps it was just good defense by Mahlik which made him look bad.
Sudo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Genki Sudo has been cut.
Sudo fails with the takedown.
Mats Mahlik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Genki Sudo.
Mahlik stuffs the takedown attempt from Sudo. Sudo gets slowly back to his feet.
Mahlik comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sudo looks gassed!
Mahlik fails to land with a series of punches.
Mahlik throws an uppercut from hell that sends Sudo clean off his feet! He's out cold! Mahlik stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
