The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takedowns fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Taddeo slaps away a takedown attempt from Takedowns, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Takedowns shoots in but Taddeo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carlos Eduardo Taddeo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tokyo Takedowns.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takedowns looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taddeo is fending him off so far but Takedowns persists. Nope, Taddeo circles away and we're back to standing.

Taddeo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takedowns moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Taddeo stalks Takedowns and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Takedowns's face. Takedowns staggers backwards, shaken.
Takedowns is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Taddeo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Takedowns shoots for a takedown but Taddeo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tokyo Takedowns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Taddeo leaves Takedowns with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Takedowns misses with a double jab
and Taddeo counters with a one-two to the body.

Taddeo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Takedowns's head backwards.

Takedowns dives in and grabs Taddeo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taddeo pushes down on Takedowns's head and hops out.

Taddeo drops Takedowns with a beautiful combination! Takedowns stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Taddeo is looking for the KO!

It looks like Tokyo Takedowns has been cut.
Carlos Eduardo Taddeo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Takedowns takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Taddeo lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Takedowns is looking to close the distance but Taddeo sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Takedowns crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Takedowns is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
