Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaun Marco!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a right hand that Marco ducks under and follows up with a left that Marco also avoids with ease.
Marco dives in and grabs Coleman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes down on Marco's head and hops out.
Coleman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marco swivels and escapes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Coleman is really struggling to control Marco but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Coleman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marco avoids it really well and circles away.

and Coleman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Coleman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Marco controls Coleman momentarily but Coleman frees himself.

Marco should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marco is trying to control but Coleman manages to pass to mount!

Coleman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Marco suckers Coleman into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Marco is now in Coleman's guard!
Marco wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving.
Coleman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marco is one step ahead there.
Coleman trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marco.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marco as he avoids it easily.

and Coleman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Marco!
Marco wants to control but Coleman is having none of it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Coleman trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Coleman wants to control the action but instead Marco gets a body lock and reverses into Coleman's guard! Nice work!
Mark Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Marco wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving.
Coleman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marco trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marco is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Coleman throws and elbow that misses. Marco uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coleman's guard. Nice move by Marco!

Marco wants to stand and escape but instead Coleman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Marco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Marco is pulling down on Coleman's head. It's preventing any offense from Coleman, at least for the moment.
Jaun Marco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mark Coleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
