The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Fonseca looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jacobs is fending him off so far but da Fonseca persists. Nope, Jacobs circles away and we're back to standing.
da Fonseca bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jacobs takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
da Fonseca is working to tighten is grip on Jacobs's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jacobs has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but da Fonseca is really squeezing tight and eventually Jacobs passes out! da Fonseca breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
