The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conner throws a series of punches but Quest moves out of range.
Conner stalks Quest and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Quest's face. Quest staggers backwards, shaken.
Conner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Quest moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Quest misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Conner.
Quest throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Quest with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Conner to score with a decent uppercut.
Quest rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Conner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Quest throws a right hand that Conner ducks under and follows up with a left that Conner also avoids with ease.
A nice combination there by Quest.
Quest scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Conner swats away the attempt to clinch by Quest.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Quest isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Conner stacks Quest on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Conner!

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Quest will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Quest looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Quest counters with a left and a right that stings Conner.
Conner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Quest shoots in looking for a takedown. Conner tries to sprawl out of it but Quest keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Conner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Quest tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Conner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Conner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Conner fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Quest is out of range.
Conner closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Quest is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Quest looking to sit in guard and control but Conner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Quest wants to sweep here but Conner controlling him for the moment.

Quest fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Conner.

Quest working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Conner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Conner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
