PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacny Pendrive (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks throws a jab when Pendrive was well out of range.
Pendrive changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brooks tries to avoid it but Pendrive manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brooks to the ground. Brooks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pendrive gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Brooks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Brooks trying to control but Pendrive is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brooks could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brooks's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brooks throws a series of punches but Pendrive moves out of range.
Pendrive avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Brooks counters with a left and a right that stings Pendrive.

Eli Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zacny Pendrive.

Brooks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pendrive has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Brooks doesn't defend quickly enough and Pendrive has managed to lock this one up! Can Brooks escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pendrive on a fantastic submission victory.
