PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alessandro de Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Ferro comes to the cage accompanied by CMX - Ruoste. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alessandro de Ferro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Hampton!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Ferro throws out a leg kick but Hampton moves out of range and de Ferro only half commits.
de Ferro shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hampton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but de Ferro paws at him with a jab and circles away.
de Ferro circles away from the clinch attempt.
de Ferro scores with a three punch combo!
Hampton throws a nice looking combination but de Ferro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
de Ferro stuns Hampton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hampton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. de Ferro tries to avoid it but Hampton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag de Ferro to the ground. de Ferro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hampton tries to clinch but de Ferro moves out of range.
de Ferro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hampton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hampton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hampton looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

de Ferro pushes Hampton off and gets back to his feet.
de Ferro lands with a shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from de Ferro. Hampton does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hampton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has de Ferro pinned against the cage. de Ferro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hampton checks a low kick from de Ferro.

That's one minute gone in the round.
de Ferro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hampton doesn't seem bothered though.
Hampton takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
de Ferro fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hampton.
Alessandro de Ferro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
de Ferro lands a head shot.
de Ferro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
de Ferro lands with a right and another and another! Hampton is in big trouble! de Ferro lands again and this time it's lights out for Hampton! A quality knockout there for de Ferro.
