The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oleander tries to clinch but Souza is having none of it.

Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Oleander is looking for a triangle but Souza pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souza landing some decent shots from guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Souza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Souza has gone for a leg lock! Oleander slips out almost immediately though and dives into Souza's guard.
Oleander won't allow Souza to sweep him here.
Oleander lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Souza wants to sweep here but Oleander controlling him for the moment.
Oleander forces his way into half guard.
Souza tries to roll over but Oleander keeps him under control.

Oleander is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Souza makes his way to full guard, as Oleander worked for a kimura.

Souza wants to stand up but Oleander is controlling him.
Oleander could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Oleander slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Souza wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Oleander has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Souza's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Souza is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Oleander!
