Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kona Kamehameha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mcpeeny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamehameha's entrance music is Everybody Wants to Rule The World. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamehameha misses with a wild body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mcpeeny. Kamehameha does a little dance to reset his feet.
A combination from Kamehameha does no damage.
Mcpeeny is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kamehameha misses with an uppercut. Mcpeeny saw that one coming.
Nice defenses there by Mcpeeny.
Kamehameha shoots in for a takedown but Mcpeeny shows good takedown defense.
Kamehameha fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mcpeeny on the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Mcpeeny throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mcpeeny stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcpeeny wants it to stay on the feet.
Kamehameha misses with a series of wild punches.
Mcpeeny moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Kona Kamehameha has been cut.
Mcpeeny shoots in for a double leg but Kamehameha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kamehameha misses with a looping left.

Mcpeeny slips a straight right by Kamehameha.
Kamehameha cracks Mcpeeny with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Donk. Kamehameha catches Mcpeeny right on the button with a cross.
Mcpeeny moves away from the strike by Kamehameha.

Kamehameha gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcpeeny accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kamehameha is trying to control the position but Mcpeeny postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcpeeny postures up in Kamehameha's guard and throws a big left but Kamehameha blocks it.
Mcpeeny throws a big right hand that misses.
Mcpeeny lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Kamehameha is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcpeeny is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Mcpeeny stands up over Kamehameha, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcpeeny in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mcpeeny wants to stand but Kamehameha is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kamehameha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mcpeeny stands up from guard. Let's bang!

A combination from Kamehameha does no damage.
Mcpeeny moves out of range as Kamehameha strikes.
Kamehameha bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mcpeeny's head.
Mcpeeny gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kamehameha lands a right hook to the body.
Kamehameha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mcpeeny darts in and clinches Kamehameha up against the ropes.
Mcpeeny lands an elbow inside that Kamehameha shrugs off.
Mcpeeny misses with an elbow over the top.
Mcpeeny creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kamehameha's defenses.
A knee to the head by Mcpeeny.


Kona Kamehameha's cut is getting worse.
Mcpeeny misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kamehameha.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mcpeeny tries a knee to the head but Kamehameha blocks it.
Mcpeeny creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Kamehameha avoiding damage as Mcpeeny throws knees to the body.

Kamehameha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kamehameha misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mcpeeny.

Mcpeeny feints and as Kamehameha raises his hands in defense, Mcpeeny changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcpeeny landing some decent shots from guard.


Kona Kamehameha's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Mcpeeny throws and elbow that misses. Kamehameha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mcpeeny's guard. Nice move by Kamehameha!
Mcpeeny wants to stand but Kamehameha is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcpeeny can do anything to dispel that myth.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kamehameha is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kamehameha drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mcpeeny looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mcpeeny looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mcpeeny!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Mcpeeny dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kona Kamehameha's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mcpeeny is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mcpeeny dodges the punch combination from Kamehameha.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mcpeeny. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Kamehameha shoots and misses

and Mcpeeny counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mcpeeny.
Mcpeeny with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kamehameha looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mcpeeny postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mcpeeny loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mcpeeny must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kamehameha is trying is best to control the position here.
Mcpeeny looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kamehameha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.


Jeez, Kona Kamehameha's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kona Kamehameha's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
