The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaby throws a lazy right hand but Dawkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Diaby closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dawkins did well to prevent Diaby getting side control.
Diaby prevents Dawkins from improving his position.
Diaby thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaby wants to stand up but Dawkins has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Diaby is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Diaby is keen to just control but Dawkins is a slippery customer.

Diaby postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dawkins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaby, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dawkins gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dawkins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diaby swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Diaby lands with an uppercut that bounces Dawkins off the cage and back into rage.

It looks like Martin Dawkins has been cut.

Diaby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Horrible takedown by Diaby or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawkins which made him look bad.
Dawkins dips to his left and cracks Diaby with an uppercut!

Diaby tries to get into range but Dawkins steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Diaby! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Dawkins scores the big KO victory!
