Van Dam has chosen C R E A M By The Wu-Tang Clan as his entrance music. Brian Van Dam will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Van Dam!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James defending well as Van Dam loads up on a big left hand.
Van Dam misses with a double jab.
Van Dam looks to throw the jab but James is out of range.
Van Dam throws a right and a left that James avoids nicely.
Van Dam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James avoids a punch combination nicely.
Van Dam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

James gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for James.
James holding his opponent close, against the cage.
James lands a good knee to the midsection. Van Dam won't want to take too many of those.
James lands a right hand that snaps the head of Van Dam backwards.


It looks like Brian Van Dam has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as James takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Van Dam managing to block the knees to the body from James.
Van Dam wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
James lands a nice elbow.
James lands an elbow inside.
James keeps control of Van Dam as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


That has opened up Brian Van Dam's cut even more.
Van Dam is trying to break the clinch but James has him pressed against the cage.
Van Dam wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
James lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Van Dam has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
James landing knees to the head.


The cut above Brian Van Dam's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
James stalling the fight.
Van Dam is trying to break the clinch but James has him pressed against the cage.
Van Dam is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
James has Van Dam pressed against the cage, preventing Van Dam from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
James landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Van Dam looks gassed!
James unloads a knee to the mid-section.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Van Dam takes an elbow to the temple.


Brian Van Dam's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brian Van Dam's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jesse James!
