Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogeiro Cavanate Rocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshihiro Akiyama!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Cavanate Rocha misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Akiyama.
A combination from Akiyama does no damage.
Akiyama tries to bum rush Cavanate Rocha with a series of wild strikes but Cavanate Rocha uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cavanate Rocha wants to clinch up but Akiyama keeps it at a distance.
Cavanate Rocha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Akiyama as he avoids it easily.
A head kick misses from Cavanate Rocha.
Akiyama stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cavanate Rocha tries to clinch there but Akiyama circles away.
Cavanate Rocha avoids the head kick by Akiyama.
Cavanate Rocha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Akiyama tries to avoid it but Cavanate Rocha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Akiyama to the ground. Akiyama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Akiyama throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cavanate Rocha stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cavanate Rocha avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A head kick misses from Akiyama.
Cavanate Rocha needs to keep his hands up - Akiyama had a free shot at his head there.
Akiyama cracks Cavanate Rocha with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cavanate Rocha tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Akiyama pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cavanate Rocha is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yoshihiro Akiyama!
