Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desean Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kynis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Desean Waters has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Desean Waters seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desean Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keijo Kynis!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kynis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kynis throws a leg kick but Waters sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kynis looks to land a left hand but Waters moved out of range nicely.
Kynis throws a leg kick but Waters sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kynis scores with a hook.
Kynis sizes up Waters with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fighters circling - Kynis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Waters fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kynis sprawls well initially but Waters persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Waters not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Waters is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kynis has managed to free his arm - good work.
Waters moves into full mount! Kynis won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waters is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kynis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kynis shrugs it off.

Waters avoids the attempt from Kynis to control.

Waters working for a guillotine from mount but Kynis is in no mood to give up.
Kynis wants to hold on but Waters pushes him away.
Waters lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Waters has hold of Kynis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kynis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kynis is wriggling around trying to escape.

Waters swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kynis is now in Waters's guard. A big mistake from Waters there, giving up the dominant position!

Kynis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Waters has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kynis has managed to get both his arms back between Waters's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kynis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kynis wants to control from the top but Waters keeps moving.

Waters had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kynis defends it easily.
Waters bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kynis's guard.

Waters postures up in Kynis's guard and throws a big left but Kynis blocks it.
Waters won't allow Kynis to get back to his feet.

Waters postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kynis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Waters, into his guard.

That's time! Waters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Waters shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kynis sprawls well. Kynis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Waters gets slowly back to his feet.
Waters takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kynis has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kynis. That's going to slow Waters down.
Kynis throws a low kick, looking for Waters's leg but Waters calmly moves out of range.
Kynis connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Waters looks to land a right hand but Kynis moved out of range.
Waters takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Keijo Kynis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waters uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kynis.

Waters takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Kynis throws a jab but it's blocked by Waters.
Kynis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kynis clobbers Waters with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Waters throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Waters with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kynis to score with a decent uppercut.

Kynis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Waters misses with a wild body shot.
Waters tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kynis was well out of range. Poor timing from Waters.

Waters lands with an uppercut that bounces Kynis off the cage and back into rage.
Kynis throws a jab but it's blocked by Waters.

Waters on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Waters misses with a wild body shot.
Kynis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Waters.
Waters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kynis pinned against the cage. Kynis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Keijo Kynis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Waters throws a hook but Kynis blocks it.
Waters just misses with a punch to the body.
Waters swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Waters bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kynis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Waters circles away quickly and effectively.

Keijo Kynis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Waters takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Waters throws a lazy right hand but Kynis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kynis throws a right hand that Waters ducks under and follows up with a left that Waters also avoids with ease.
Kynis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Waters on the side of the head.
Kynis slaps away a takedown attempt from Waters, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Desean Waters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kynis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Waters changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kynis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Waters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Waters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Keijo Kynis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
