The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assasi shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Assasi fails to land the takedown.
A big left from Jones misses.
Assasi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Assasi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones misses with the combination.
Assasi closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Assasi pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
