Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dee Dee Ramone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Zaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abdullah Zaire was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaire slips a straight right by Ramone.

Ramone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zaire is trying to defend but Ramone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ramone wants to work for an arm triangle but Zaire is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ramone wants to control but Zaire is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramone stops Zaire from getting back to his feet.

and Zaire counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Zaire throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zaire connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Ramone shoots and misses
and Zaire counters with a big head kick but Ramone shrugs it off.
Ramone misses with a low kick as Zaire jumps back.
Zaire throws a series of strikes that have Ramone backpedaling.
Ramone avoids the body shot from Zaire.
Zaire throws a right hand that Ramone ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramone also avoids with ease.
Ramone tries to clinch up.
Zaire lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Zaire dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ramone. That did some damage!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaire throws a body punch but Ramone moves out of range.
Zaire ducks under a wild hook from Ramone.

Zaire connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Zaire lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramone takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Zaire lands a left and a right that send Ramone crashing to the mat, dazed. Zaire thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ramone is rocked!

Zaire explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ramone tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ramone takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zaire lands with a nice combination. Ramone backs away looking to recover.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zaire misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zaire throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zaire bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ramone's head backwards.

Zaire dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ramone. That did some damage!
Left hook, right uppercut from Zaire.
Zaire lands a lovely overhand right.
Oh Ramone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zaire works Ramone's body with a nice hook.
Ramone seems to have got his legs back now.
Ramone takes one to the chin there.

Zaire drops Ramone with a beautiful combination! Ramone stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zaire is looking for the KO!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zaire lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Zaire lands a left and a right that send Ramone crashing to the mat, dazed. Zaire thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Zaire buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ramone missing with a left hand there. Zaire was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Ramone throws a sloppy body shot

and Zaire counters with a crisp one two that drops Ramone! Zaire thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ramone to his feet! Ramone is in big trouble!

Zaire drops Ramone with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ramone looks back up at him and smiles so Zaire waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nice body punch from Zaire.
The crowd cheers as Zaire lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ramone doesn't seem phased though.
Zaire changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Zaire cracks Ramone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Zaire sends Ramone crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zaire is motioning to the referee to let Ramone up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Zaire lands a right hook to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zaire.
BOOM! Zaire lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ramone. Ramone tries to recover but Zaire is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ramone lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
