Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoo Doo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hiro Sakurai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hoo Doo!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Sakurai.
Doo throws a head kick that misses.

Sakurai uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sakurai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sakurai was well out of range. Poor timing from Doo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Sakurai counters with a straight right hand.
Doo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sakurai counters with a nice uppercut.
Sakurai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Doo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Sakurai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A left and a right from Sakurai both land. Nice combination.
Sakurai is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Sakurai cracks Doo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Doo tries to clinch up but Sakurai circles away and keeps his distance.

enabling Sakurai to counter with a crisp jab.

Sakurai drops Doo with a left and a right! Oh, Doo is hurt - Sakurai dives into side control looking to finish!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doo tries to buck Sakurai off but Sakurai is having none of it.
Doo is still in real trouble! Can Sakurai finish him?

Sakurai looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Doo seems to have recovered his senses.

Sakurai goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Doo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sakurai's guard! Nice work there by Doo!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Doo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sakurai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sakurai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Sakurai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Sakurai counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Doo is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Sakurai scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Doo doesn't seem bothered though.

Sakurai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A punch lands to the side of Doo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Doo tries to land a front kick but Sakurai steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hoo Doo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hiro Sakurai is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sakurai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
