The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martello blocks a head kick by Hudson.

Martello drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hudson pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Martello is on top in guard.

Hudson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hudson wants to get back to striking at distance but Martello won't allow it.

Hudson jumps guard and drags Martello to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's time! Hudson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hudson closes the distance and clinches up with Martello, looking for a takedown. Hudson pushes Martello against the cage but Martello circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Martello throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Martello shoots in and bounces Hudson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hudson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martello manages to get himself to full guard.

Martello is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
