Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Gunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scoop Riggleman!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggleman looks to land a right hand but Gunn moved out of range.
Riggleman ducks under a wild hook from Gunn.
Riggleman does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gunn throws a series of punches but Riggleman moves out of range.
Gunn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Riggleman.
Gunn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gunn.
A nice combination there by Gunn.
Riggleman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Riggleman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gunn pinned against the cage. Gunn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Billy Gunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scoop Riggleman.

Gunn feints and then cracks Riggleman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Riggleman down.

No joy there for Riggleman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riggleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gunn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riggleman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gunn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gunn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riggleman is one step ahead there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riggleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Riggleman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gunn is looking to stand up but Riggleman isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Riggleman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gunn is breathing heavily.
Riggleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Scoop Riggleman will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Riggleman lands a left and a right that send Gunn crashing to the mat, dazed. Riggleman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Gunn is rocked!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Riggleman scores with a decent looking hook.
Oh Gunn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riggleman throws a shot from downtown. Gunn moves away and avoids it.
Gunn seems to have got his legs back now.
Billy Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Riggleman counters with a nice right hand that sends Gunn toppling to the canvas! Gunn scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Riggleman finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Riggleman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Riggleman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A nice inside leg kick there by Riggleman. That's going to slow Gunn down.

Riggleman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gunn's guard.

Riggleman stands up over Gunn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Scoop Riggleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
