Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Ruiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Luc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Ruiner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luc shoots in but Ruiner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ruiner tries for a takedown but Luc circles away easily

and Luc counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ruiner keeping moving, preventing Luc from controlling successfully.
Ruiner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ruiner tries to get out of the position.
Ruiner can't keep his opponent in guard - Luc advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Luc is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Luc wants to control from the top but Ruiner keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ruiner tries to buck Luc off but Luc is having none of it.

Luc lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ruiner!
Ruiner can't escape the position.

Luc has control of Ruiner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ruiner regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Luc moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Ruiner has worked his arm free - good work by Ruiner!

Ruiner is looking to regain half guard here but Luc keeps moving and retains side control.

Luc is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ruiner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Luc is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Luc has his foot on Ruiner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ruiner works his way back into a safe position though.

Ruiner is in trouble now - Luc has advanced to mount!

Luc is working for a guillotine from mount but Ruiner frees his head quite easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Luc jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ruiner is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ruiner and Luc has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Luc goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ruiner has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Luc but great work by Ruiner.
Jean Luc is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ruiner throws an elbow but Luc slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ruiner wants to stand but Luc has his arm trapped.
Luc manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ruiner's best efforts.
Luc is concentrating on defense, preventing Ruiner from advancing position.
Ruiner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Luc is pressing down on Ruiner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
John Ruiner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jean Luc comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Luc has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
