Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between jose aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grand Deluxe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grand Deluxe will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
aldo throws a head kick that misses.
Deluxe fails with an attempt to clinch.
aldo connects with a high kick.

It looks like Grand Deluxe has been cut.

aldo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
aldo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Deluxe blocks it with crossed arms.
Deluxe goes for a takedown attempt but aldo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
aldo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
aldo tries to clinch but Deluxe is having none of it.
Deluxe shoots for a takedown but aldo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
aldo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Deluxe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as aldo sprawls well. aldo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Deluxe gets slowly back to his feet.
jose aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grand Deluxe.
Deluxe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before aldo can pounce on him.

aldo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Deluxe.
A combination from aldo does no damage.
aldo throws a right hand that Deluxe ducks under and follows up with a left that Deluxe also avoids with ease.

Deluxe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

aldo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

aldo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and aldo manages to end up in side control.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

aldo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Deluxe has his foot on aldo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. aldo works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

aldo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - aldo lands in his opponent's guard.
Grand Deluxe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

aldo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deluxe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, aldo has managed to get both his arms back between Deluxe's legs - danger averted.
