Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Desailly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobbie Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Anderson Desailly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobbie Jones!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a body shot.

Jones clinches with his opponent.
Desailly takes a knee to the side of the body.

Jones decides to pull guard.
Desailly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Desailly will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Desailly misses with a two punch combination.
Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Desailly shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Desailly gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jones tries to clinch there but Desailly circles away.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Desailly decides to stand back up. Desailly steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet.
Desailly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Desailly swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones takes a swing at Desailly's ribcage but misses.
Desailly will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Desailly is breathing heavily.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Desailly shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Desailly tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Desailly is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Jones has Desailly pushed against the cage.

Desailly pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jones stuffs the takedown.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Desailly swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Desailly on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Desailly pushes him off.
Desailly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.

Jones takes the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jones thuds a left hand into Desailly's body.
Desailly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Desailly swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jones scores with a knee to the head.

Desailly breaks from the clinch.
Desailly throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Desailly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Desailly fails to land the takedown.
Jones lands a high kick!
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Desailly avoids the head kick by Jones.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Desailly shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Anderson Desailly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jones creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Desailly's defenses.

and Jones counters with a body kick that stops Desailly in his tracks momentarily.

Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Desailly fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Desailly is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Desailly is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Desailly manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Desailly manages to pass to side control.

Desailly is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Desailly is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Desailly tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jones controls his leg.
Desailly passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobbie Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Desailly counters with a big head kick but Jones shrugs it off.
Desailly wants to clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones.
Jones is looking to clinch but Desailly is avoiding it.
Desailly blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Desailly counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones!
Jones is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Desailly has taken his back!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jones is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Desailly slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jones is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Desailly off. It looks like it's working - Desailly slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Jones displaying calm under pressure there.

Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Desailly smiles and moves away.

Desailly has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jones is trying to keep an underhook but Desailly manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Desailly tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Desailly working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jones is trying to stand.
Desailly keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Desailly passes the guard and advances to mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones wants to try and get back to his feet.
Desailly landing strikes, looking to finish!

Desailly fails to move to back control.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Anderson Desailly showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
