Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Klein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klein throws a hook but Evans blocks it.
Klein fails to land with a series of punches.
Klein throws a head kick but Evans moves out of range.
Evans fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Klein misses with a jab, cross combination.
Evans waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Klein.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Evans connects with a right hand. Klein shakes it off.
Evans cracks Klein with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Cody Klein has been cut.

Klein looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Klein is looking for a kimura here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Klein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.
Evans tries to kick Klein off but Klein keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Klein stands up out of the half guard.

Klein gets the takedown into side control.
Evans is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans wants to control but Klein postures up.
Klein tries to advance to mount but can't.
Evans pushes Klein away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Klein gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Klein is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Evans has escaped the position, nice work there.
Klein looks gassed!

Klein looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Evans wants to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Evans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Evans is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Evans defending against the ground and pound.
Evans is pushing Klein's head away, looking to escape. Klein manages to hold on to the position though.

Klein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Evans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evans wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Evans has one of Klein's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Evans cracks a nice hook into Klein's ribs.
Klein takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Evans lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A head kick misses from Evans.
Klein misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Evans lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Evans lands a big uppercut and Klein crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Klein looks OK. Evans waves Klein back to his feet!

Klein is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Evans moves in close and cracks Klein with a massive right hand! Klein, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Evans!
