Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rachel Fay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristiano Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fay throws a head kick that misses.

It looks like Cristiano Teixeira has been cut.
Teixeira tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rachel Fay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Teixeira forces Fay back against the cage and clinches.
Fay with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Fay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Teixeira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fay has managed to get both his arms back between Teixeira's legs - danger averted.

Teixeira has his foot on Fay's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fay works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Teixeira jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fay walks away with a smile on his face. Teixeira gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fay swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Teixeira takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fay misses with a looping right.
Teixeira avoids the head kick by Fay.
Fay scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Teixeira doesn't seem bothered though.

Fay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Teixeira manages to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Rachel Fay will probably get the nod.

Teixeira isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fay stacks Teixeira on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fay!

Fay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Fay misses with a hook. Teixeira ducked under it nicely.
Fay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A slow jab from Fay misses its intended target.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Teixeira in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A left lands for Fay.
Fay could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fay fails to land with a series of punches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fay lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fay throws out a loose jab but Teixeira uses good head movement to avoid it.
