Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Grand Jacques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kishion Edman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilbert Grand Jacques has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gilbert Grand Jacques!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kishion Edman!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grand Jacques swings for the body but Edman moves out of range.

Edman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grand Jacques was covering up waiting for the punch and Edman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Edman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Edman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grand Jacques swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grand Jacques working a defensive guard but Edman manages to pass into side control anyway.
Edman trying to control the action but Grand Jacques is working from the bottom.
Grand Jacques is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Grand Jacques bucks up and tries to throw Edman off but instead Edman has got his back!

Edman is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Grand Jacques knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Grand Jacques for a finish.
Edman is trying to control but Grand Jacques is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Grand Jacques is looking to get to half guard.
Grand Jacques tries to hold on but Edman pushes him away.
Grand Jacques tries to improve his position but instead Edman has taken his back!

What can Grand Jacques do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Edman is punishing Grand Jacques with strikes - can he finish him?!

Edman is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Grand Jacques is defending well though. Edman let's go of the attempt for now.

Edman is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Grand Jacques has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Edman has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Grand Jacques taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Edman doesn't care though - he's delighted!
