Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Screech Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Costa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Champion Sound by DJ Marky (Total Science RMX). On his way into the cage it seems that Screech Powers has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Screech Powers seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Costa or perhaps it was just good defense by Powers which made him look bad.
Costa throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Costa moves in looking to clinch but Powers pushes him off.
Costa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Costa walks into a stiff left hand from Powers.
Costa slips a jab and a cross from Powers.
Powers slaps away a takedown attempt from Costa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Carlos Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers scores with a sloppy right hand. Costa should have avoided that one.
Powers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Costa.
Powers connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Costa momentarily.
A shot to de liver by Powers. Beautiful body shot.
Costa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Powers sprawls well. Powers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Costa gets slowly back to his feet.
Screech Powers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Costa.

Costa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Costa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Powers is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Costa.
Powers jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Powers connects with a single shot there.
Powers cracks Costa with an open hand slap.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Powers stuns Costa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Costa seems to have recovered his senses.
Powers is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Powers takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Costa takes one on the button.
Powers keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Powers with a nice cross.
Powers's corner calls for a 1-2. Powers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Powers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Powers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Powers lands with a straight right. Costa didn't see that one coming.
Powers cracks Costa with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Costa tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Powers pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Costa is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
