Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake Allen!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Penn.

Allen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Penn's guard.
Allen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Penn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Allen wants to stand but Penn is controlling his posture from full guard.

Allen decides to stand and escape the position.

Penn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Allen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Penn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Allen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Allen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Penn tries to pull guard but Allen holds him up against the cage and eventually Penn drops back down to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Allen dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Allen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Penn tries for a takedown but Allen circles away easily

and Allen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Penn won't be happy with that.

Jake Allen has got the better of the ground game so far.

Penn is wriggling around trying to escape.
Allen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Penn's face.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Penn is just holding on here. Allen manages to take his back.

Allen has managed to slip his arm under Penn's chin. This could be all over... yep, Penn is tapping out! Submission win for Allen.
