Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
i checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Wesson fails with an attempt to clinch.
i tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wesson was well out of range. Poor timing from i.

Wesson clinches.

Wesson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
i throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wesson tries to close the distance and clinch but i swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

i gets a takedown into half guard.
Wesson tries to get to full guard but i has control of the leg.

i is looking for a kimura but Wesson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for i to get the leverage.
i is just content to waste time from the top position. Wesson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Wesson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but i can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

i won't allow Wesson to sweep him here.
Wesson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for i!

Wesson has control of i's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and i regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
i regains half guard.

Wesson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Wesson is trying to work for a kimura but i is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
i is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wesson is keen to just control but i is a slippery customer.

i is not content to let Wesson control the position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wesson connects with a nice short shot to i's temple.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wesson wants to control but i is keeping him busy.
Wesson tries to pass to full mount but i defends it.
Wesson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wesson wants to lay and pray for a moment but i keeps working.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wesson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Wesson throwing shots but i is blocking nicely.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Wesson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and i counters with a thumping low kick.
i circles away from the clinch attempt
and i counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wesson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and i counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wesson!
Wesson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Wesson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of i's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take i's back!
i wants to escape the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Wesson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Wesson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but i has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
i is in bad spot here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
i manages to reverse the position and now he's in Wesson's guard. Nice work there by i.

i trying to control but Wesson is working from the bottom.
i stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wesson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wesson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and i counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by i.

Wesson decides to pull guard.
i trying to control the position from guard on top but Wesson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

i looking to sit in guard and control but Wesson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wesson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Wesson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wesson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down i's shoulder. That is not cool.
i is trying to get back to half guard.

Wesson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused i some visible discomfort.
i takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Wesson has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Smith Wesson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wesson cracks i with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wesson is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. i is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. i flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Wesson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind i and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Wesson slips an arm under i chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Wesson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Wesson is squeezing on i like an anaconda would it's prey. i fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
